Buying from your school's store¶
myShop is your organization's online store — spirit wear, fundraisers, event tickets and program ads. Money goes to your organization, not to myblueboard.
Placing an order¶
Browse by category or search, open a product, and choose any options it offers — size, color, sponsorship level. Add it to your cart and check out.
Some products ask for extra information at checkout: a student's name for a personalized item, artwork for an ad, a dedication message. Fill these in carefully — they're used exactly as entered.
How often you're asked depends on how your organization set the product up. Some questions come up once for your whole order — those appear in an About your order box at the top of checkout. Others are asked for each item, so if you order two personalized shirts you'll enter a name for each one. When that happens the boxes are labelled item 1 of 2, item 2 of 2, so you can tell them apart. Entering the same answer twice is fine if that's what you want — they're separate on purpose, so you can order for two different people at once.
If a product asks you to upload a file, check the accepted file types listed beside it. Files must be under 10 MB; if yours is larger you'll be told straight away and can pick another. Photos taken on an iPhone are often HEIC, which some stores don't accept — your phone can save or convert to JPG if it's rejected.
Promo codes¶
Enter a promo code in your cart before checking out. The discount applies immediately, and you can remove it and try another.
If a code doesn't work, check:
- Does it apply to what's in your cart? Codes are often limited to certain items
- Is there a minimum? Some require a cart total before applying
- Has it expired, or run out? Codes can have end dates and usage limits
- Have you already used it? Some allow one use per person
Codes aren't case-sensitive, so capitals don't matter.
Paying¶
Checkout takes card payments, and depending on your school, PayPal. You don't need a PayPal account to pay by card.
You'll get a confirmation with an order confirmation number. Keep it — it's how you look up your order later.
Tracking your order¶
Use your confirmation number to check your order's status. Orders move through New, In-Progress, On-Hold and Fulfilled as your organization works through them.
For questions about when something arrives, contact your organization directly — they handle fulfilment, not myblueboard.
Numbered items and raffle tickets¶
Some products carry a unique number. Depending on how it's set up, you either choose your number or have one assigned at checkout.
A chosen number is held for ten minutes. If you take longer than that to finish checking out, someone else may take it and you'll be assigned a different available number instead. The number on your completed order is the one you own.
Purchases charged to a student account¶
If your organization uses account credits, purchases made in person can be charged to a student's account rather than paid at the time.
These appear under Credits/Refunds in myShop and on the Credits tab of your statement.
A purchase can push a balance negative if it exceeds the available credit — the sale isn't blocked at the register. If a balance looks lower than expected after an event, an in-person purchase is the usual explanation.
