Digital Programs¶
A digital program is the concert program without the printing bill — families open it from the event page on their phone. Each event can have one program.
Start from Manage Event → Create Digital Program, then choose one of two routes.
Marked under construction
The Digital Program panel is labelled (under construction) in myblueboard. It works as described here, but expect it to keep changing — check back on this guide, and tell us what you need from it.
Upload a file¶
Upload the program you already have as a PDF or an image. If your program is designed in Canva, Publisher or a design tool, this is the route — you keep your layout exactly as drawn.
Give it a title, upload the file, and it's ready to publish.
PDFs are the safer choice for anything with a lot of text. A tall image of a program page is often unreadable on a phone without pinching and scrolling.
Build one in myblueboard¶
The builder starts from a template:
- Blank — an empty page
- Simple — a welcome section and a schedule
- Detailed — a hero heading, an about section, a schedule table and a featured-performers section
Templates are a starting point, not a format. Everything in them is placeholder text meant to be replaced — the Detailed template's 7:00 PM doors and Lorem ipsum paragraph will publish as written if you don't.
You can also set a theme color for the program.
Applying a template replaces what's there
Choosing a template for an event that already has a program overwrites the existing content, and clears an uploaded file. Pick your route before you start writing.
Publishing¶
A program is a draft until you publish it, and drafts are invisible to families even though the event itself is published. Publish and unpublish from the Manage Event page.
Once published, a View Program link appears on the public event page for anyone who opens it.
Publish a day or two ahead so families can read it before they arrive, and leave it up afterward — a published program is a record of the season.
