myForms¶
myForms collects information from your students, parents and staff — volunteer signups, permission slips, trip registrations, interest surveys, anything you'd otherwise chase by email.
Open it from myForms in the left sidebar.
Guides¶
- Creating a form — from scratch or from a template, and every setting
- Adding questions — the ten question types and how to use them
- Who receives a form — groups, directors, parents, and public links
- Results and exports — reading responses, CSV export, closing and archiving
Who can do what¶
Anyone signed in sees the forms assigned to them on the myForms dashboard, along with whether they've already responded.
Building and managing forms requires myForms Admin Access. Full Directors have it automatically; Staff Directors and parents need it granted — see Granting access.
The admin dashboard¶
With myForms Admin Access you also see three totals:
- Active Forms — accepting responses now
- Total Submissions — across every form
- Archived Forms — hidden but retained
Plus the tools to create a form and the template picker.
How a form reaches people¶
A form isn't emailed out. It's assigned to groups, and it appears on the myForms dashboard of everyone in those groups.
That means the groups you've built are what make myForms work. A form assigned to no groups reaches nobody — unless you make it public, which is a different mechanism entirely. See Who receives a form.
Assigned people also get a myTask for the form, which is what appears in the mobile app. Submitting closes it.
Forms can be scheduled with a publish date, so you can build one ahead of time and have it go out on the day you want.
