Managing your account

Your account details are yours to maintain. Directors can edit them too, but they won't know your new phone number unless you tell them — updating it yourself is faster and more reliable.

Updating your information

Your details live under myInfo. From there you can update:

  • Name and how it's displayed
  • Email address — see below, this one has an extra step
  • Phone numbers — home, work and cell
  • Mailing address — street, city, state and ZIP

Students also have:

  • Student ID
  • Grade level and section
  • Bus number
  • Allergies, food allergies and over-the-counter medicines you consent to

The health fields are worth filling in

Allergy and medication information is there so directors have it on a trip or at a competition, when looking it up isn't an option. It takes a minute and it's the field most often left empty.

Changing your email address

Your email address is how you sign in, so changing it takes an extra step.

  1. Enter the new address on your account page and save.
  2. A verification link is sent to the new address.
  3. Open that email and follow the link.
  4. The change takes effect once verified.

Until you verify, your old address stays active — keep using it to sign in. Nothing breaks if you never finish; the change simply doesn't happen.

If the verification email doesn't arrive, check spam first. If the new address had a typo, just start again with the correct one.

One address per account, per program

Within a single program, an email address can only belong to one account. If you see "email address already exists", that address is already in use at that program — often an older account of your own. Your director can help sort out duplicates.

You can use the same address at more than one program. Those are separate accounts with separate passwords — see switching accounts between programs.

Changing your password

Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. You'll get a reset link by email.

Your password is the same on the website and the mobile app, so changing it changes both. If the app stops accepting your password after a reset, sign out of the app and back in.

Keeping information current

Worth updating when it changes rather than when someone asks:

  • Phone number — how you get contacted about a late bus or a schedule change
  • Email address — where statements, receipts and announcements go
  • Address — where anything physical gets mailed
  • Health information — for students, before each season

What you can't change yourself

Some things belong to your director:

  • Your account type — parent, student or director
  • Which students you're linked to — you can add a link yourself from myFamily, but only a director can remove one. See connecting to your student
  • Group and section membership, beyond what a link gives you
  • Balances, charges and credits

Contact your director for any of these. They can make the change immediately; myblueboard support can't, because these are your organization's decisions.
